Over all Purpose of the Job

To be a central point of contact for support and coordination for all related activities to facilitate Sale team and provide administrative support as required.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. To work closely with the Sales team support and facilitate business development activities
  2. To provide outstanding levels of customer service to both internal and external customers

Job Description

The Accounting Assistant is responsible for providing scheduled support to the Accounts dept & Finance head in accordance with Company policies and procedures. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounts, sub-ledgers, account reconciliations, reports, compliances efficient and good hand in accounting software are key components of this position.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Prepare, examine, analyze & assist with accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, andconformance to reporting and procedural standards
  2. Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements
  3. Analyze business operations, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses
  4. Report to management regarding the finances of the Company
  5. Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs
  6. Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology
  7. Process vendor and supplier invoices, in a timely manner, verifying accuracy, approvals and accounting.
  8. Vendor Payments & issuing cheques and associated reports.
  9. Prepare and maintain pre-authorize payments monthly or as required.
  10. Prepare all Accounts Payable sub-ledger journals for posting to General Ledger monthly.
  11. Reconcile Accounts Payable sub-ledger to General Ledger monthly.
  12. Enter and reconcile cheques cashed to accounting software monthly.
  13. Enter Data in Accounting Software for all financial data
  14. Preparation and follow up of Invoices
  15. Creation of revenue, expense, receivables reports on daily/monthly basis
  16. Managing Payroll
  17. Ensure TDS, Service Tax deduction/charge and timely deposit of the same
  18. Accounting , Reconciliation of Service tax & TDS
  19. Process all client or miscellaneous payments daily or as required to sub-ledger.
  20. Maintain accurate listing of overdue accounts & Report overdue accounts at requisite level.
  21. Prepare accounting adjustment forms where required.
  22. Respond to client or payer account inquiries as required.
  23. Assist with Finalisation of Accounts
  24. Management of day to day expense vouchers and expense reports
  25. Familiarity with ROC work and filings.
  26. Share and Derivative Accounting
  27. Miscellaneous accounting related activities
  28. Maintain a working knowledge of the payroll processes and software and provide backup as required.
  29. Assist with monthly general ledger reconciliations as required.
  30. Prepare daily/monthly bank reconciliations.
